B-ACD and the Drop-through

Ran this exercise in the Lab today. Focus was to us CUCME Embedded B-ACD (Call-queue) TCL script for a call application that will play a welcome greeting, route calls to agents (phones registered to CME), queue up to 2 calls and if no agent answer notify the user all agents are busy. The embedded B-ACD has positives and negatives based on how simple the call flows is.

Overall the main benefit of using the embedded si that is come with the Router IOS and offers the  convenience of not having to load additional TCL scripts. In a controlled environment this maybe the only practical method for standing up B-ACD.

Draw-back are that not all options (param) will function with the embedded Call-queue such as exit call queue options. Additionally, you are limited with number of option you can develop with the Embedded Call-queue

CCM w/Direct Transfer to CUE

Video example of direct transfer from CCM 7 to CUE 7.

  • CCM and CUE have been integrated prior to this example.
  • This leverages the CUE user PhonenumberE164 method for doing a direct transfer to Voice mail.

Advantages

  • Quick setup
  • Configuration can be completed with CCM GUI and CUE cli or GUI, no additional gateway configuration required

Disadvantages

  • CUE prompt will announce the E164 number not the transfer dialed number
  • Addition gateway configuration required to replication in CME/SRST

 

Updated Method: Note this does not scale well but it replicates the use of *XXXX transfer to a specific number

For this solution I used for the Phone registered to CCM. Different solution required for CME direct transfer

  • Create a Translation pattern for *XXXX in sc {site-specific} partition
  • Set the CSS set to special {CSS and partition set aside for special routes}
  • Translate to called number to 4001 {the specific number to be transfered to}
  • Create CTI route point with 4001 DN in the special partition
  • Call forward all set with CUE VM profile set
